Two very smart girls. In the middle of a drought, trying to coax grass out
with sprinkler hoses. The girls had other ideas!

A new big back deck off the back porch. Now we'll have a lovely outside covered area & open area. Poolside yoga & meditation coming soon (with barn & horses in sight) Working hard to get the farm ready for horse/healing workshops & retreats next fall & winter. Big thnx to my wonderful neighbor Tyler & dad Stan for all their beautiful bldg projects! |
Chakra Flags greet us as we enter the barn. Passing under them many times a day reminds me to pause, take a deep slow breath, and look around at the wonder of nature. This property was not a horse farm when we bought it. We put in all the pasture fencing, and converted a large carport (used to house tractors and an RV) into an open, airy barn for our horses to come into whenever they feel the desire to get out of the sun and/or rain. The gates are always left open for them to come and go as they please. One of my favorite resting spots on the farm is the turquoise lounge chair, where I can hang out with the horses and just enjoy their company peacefully, with no agenda.
Storm brewing over the farm, the girls are blissfully unconcerned.
With so many afternoon rain showers, the delightful appearance
of rainbows is a regular occurrence.
(No, this photo has not been retouched - the lighting here is magical!)
Nothing like a fresh pile of hay to enjoy as the sun is going down!
